Winnie is a Pit Bull Terrier mix that was surrendered to us by her owners. They were unable to care for her due to personal health issues. The family's autistic 4 year old child spent a lot of time with her, though, and she was absolutely amazing with the child.
Winnie is initially shy and it takes her time to trust someone. She seems to connect with women more quickly than men. Once you gain her trust, she is the most loving and affectionate dog who only wants to cuddle. She has the sweetest temperament when she is comfortable and wants to be near her person but does not demand a lot of attention otherwise.
Winnie loves toys and playing fetch and keep away, anything that will keep you in the game, including her own little salsa dance!
